Acto, a 35‑year veteran provider of ERP for the installation and construction industry, faced a rapidly changing market and needed a new development strategy to deliver more flexible, integratable and user‑friendly software (IoT, predictive maintenance, “no‑hands” UX). In 2016 Acto chose Thinkwise’s low‑code, model‑driven platform and development environment to underpin a next‑generation ERP that can be personalized, connects easily to other systems, and supports client, web and mobile plus back‑end logic.

Thinkwise delivered a model‑driven low‑code platform (including a Test Drive and Proof of Concept) with standard components and integrated BPMN 2.0 documentation, enabling Acto to develop three to five times faster and even rebuild critical applications in as little as five days. The Thinkwise solution produced the first functional apps within months, reduced development and management costs, sped up interface and back‑end changes, and gave Acto a scalable foundation for faster, more user‑friendly ERP rollouts and competitive differentiation.
