NanoLayr’s thinkmap charts the way ahead

NanoLayr, an award-winning deep-tech textile manufacturer and exporter based in Auckland, New Zealand, wanted a clear plan to become a more environmentally and socially sustainable business. It engaged thinkstep-anz to help produce a sustainability roadmap, called a thinkmap, that would set out its goals, priorities, and actions.

thinkstep-anz ran two workshops with NanoLayr’s executive and senior teams, covering sustainability stocktaking, SDG selection, and future project prioritization, and then produced a thinkmap with 16 sustainability objectives, targets, KPIs, responsibilities, and timelines. The roadmap gave NanoLayr a practical sustainability strategy, helped identify supplier collaboration needs, supported brand and employee engagement, and created a clear structure for measuring progress, though no numeric results were reported.
