Brickworks publishes 24+ EPDs and 1,000 product declarations with thinkstep-anz

Brickworks, one of Australia's largest building material companies, faced the challenge of needing credible environmental data for its innovative Thin Tech Plus and Tru-Brix cladding systems, as existing industry data was not applicable. To provide customers with transparent and comparable information, they partnered with thinkstep-anz to develop independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).

thinkstep-anz conducted Life Cycle Assessments to create the verified EPDs, which allowed architects to reliably compare environmental impacts and meet green building requirements. The solution also identified key supply chain emissions hotspots for Brickworks, revealing that manufacturing brick facings locally instead of transporting whole bricks interstate could significantly cut emissions and strengthen the Australian supply chain.
