A Think Research Case Study
Union Villa, a long-term care home in Ontario, faced challenges in continence management due to limited resources, undefined processes, and an ineffective technology tool. They partnered with Think Research to implement its Urinary Continence Management Clinical Support Tool (CST) to help identify and address the root causes of incontinence and improve resident care.
The solution from Think Research integrated evidence-based best practices into their workflow and connected with their existing electronic health record. The results included a 100% increase in quarterly assessments and a dramatic reduction in incontinence episodes. Eleven residents are now in a scheduled toileting program, up from just two previously. Think Research's tool standardized care practices and significantly improved communication and the quality of life for residents.
