Melbourne Water creates an interactive 3D learning platform with Think HQ

Think HQ partnered with Melbourne Water to address the challenge of engaging students in learning about their local water system. With static web pages and printed materials failing to capture attention, educators struggled to teach kids how water gets to their taps and how to protect this precious resource.

Think HQ created "Melbourne's World of Water," a gamified 3D simulation powered by Cesium and integrated with Drupal. The solution featured an interactive map of Melbourne with live data and an AI-powered chatbot named Droplet, built with OpenAI technology. The platform made learning exciting and accessible for students, saved educators time in gathering resources, and successfully taught students how to protect Melbourne's vital water resource.
