A Think Design Manchester Case Study
Think Design Manchester was approached by the University of Manchester to address a critical public health challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic. The university needed to create an informational booklet to help older people stay fit and healthy at home during lockdown, specifically targeting those over 50 in the Greater Manchester area who were digitally excluded and unlikely to engage with online materials.
The vendor, Think Design Manchester, created an accessible printed and digital brochure with a fun, contemporary illustration style and clear typography, designed to WCAG and RNIB accessibility standards. The project delivered over 300,000 printed copies across multiple UK regions and saw international adaptations, with 98% of surveyed recipients appreciating the physical format. The work was featured by the World Health Organization and successfully bridged the information gap for the digitally excluded.
