Greater Manchester Combined Authority prints 5,000 age-friendly leaflets with Think Design Manchester

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), through its GM Ageing Hub, faced the challenge of creating a document that could function as both a poster and an easy-to-use leaflet for a target demographic primarily over the age of 50. The vendor, Think Design Manchester, was tasked with producing this unique printed collateral.

Think Design Manchester developed a solution using a familiar format inspired by old bus timetable leaflets and ordnance survey maps. This approach utilized the folds as page dividers to organize content, and they created a series of fun, informative characters to convey key messages. The result was a printed run of 5,000 leaflets. The design assets were also repurposed for online social media shorts and additional marketing collateral. The project was successfully launched by the Mayor and achieved significant visibility.
