Zero Abuse Project - Customer Case Study

Zero Abuse Project, a US non-profit focused on child protection, faced significant challenges in training professionals to handle child maltreatment cases. High staff turnover, caused by insufficient preparation and the stressful nature of the work, was a major issue. Their Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) program needed a way to provide realistic, experiential learning to better prepare students for the emotional and practical challenges they would face in their careers.

The organization implemented ThingLink to create immersive virtual environments and interactive scenarios. Using ThingLink's platform, including its AI image generation tools and Scenario Builder, CAST built detailed mock home inspections and other training simulations. This solution allowed learners to safely practice skills, experience real-world emotions, and problem-solve in a controlled setting. ThingLink bridged the gap between theory and practice, leading to more competent, emotionally prepared professionals and helping to reduce staff turnover in the field. The training's accessibility also allowed it to be shared easily with professionals in remote locations.
