University of Salford - Customer Case Study

The University of Salford sought to make a local historic park more accessible and visible while creating an inclusive and accessible educational resource for its students. They partnered with vendor ThingLink to develop a multi-purpose interactive virtual experience.

Using ThingLink, the university created Virtual Peel Park, a multi-functional virtual tour incorporating 360-degree images, drone videos, and interactive tags. This ThingLink solution served as a virtual field trip for students, a planning tool for visitors, and a way to promote sustainable transport and volunteering. The project, which received over a thousand visitors and a award nomination, improved inclusivity for students and increased real-world park engagement, establishing a template for future virtual park projects with ThingLink.
