Stora Enso, a global provider of renewable wood and biomass solutions, faced a challenge in delivering effective and engaging safety training for its warehouse employees worldwide. The company needed a realistic way to simulate the limited visibility from a forklift cabin to teach both drivers and non-drivers how to behave safely around the machinery. They sought a multi-lingual, immersive solution from vendor ThingLink that would increase engagement and knowledge retention.

ThingLink, in a joint project with 3D Talo, created a comprehensive VR safety training program. ThingLink developed the preparatory and assessment content using their platform, while 3D Talo built the immersive forklift and warehouse simulations for Meta Quest headsets. The solution resulted in higher training engagement and completion rates for Stora Enso. Employees could practice in a safe, cost-effective environment, and the training was successfully scaled to 11 languages for their global workforce.
