Royal Ontario Museum - Customer Case Study

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), a major cultural institution in Canada, sought to enhance accessibility and preserve a temporary art installation by creating a comprehensive digital experience. They partnered with vendor ThingLink, an immersive content platform, to develop a new virtual tour.

Using ThingLink, ROM created the "Sustainable Style" virtual exhibition, which blended digital and physical collections into an accessible online format. The solution incorporated diverse navigation options and multimedia tags based on user feedback, successfully addressing a wider range of learning needs. ThingLink enabled the museum to create a permanent digital archive of the temporary exhibit and use it as an educational knowledge base, effectively reaching a broader audience.
