How to Add Virtual Learning Environments into An Employee Training Program

Norelco, a Finnish manufacturer of electricity distribution systems, faced challenges with its in-person training for new employees and career changers. The heterogeneity of face-to-face sessions made it difficult to guarantee consistent skills and working methods across all trainees. They partnered with ThingLink to create a modern virtual learning environment to standardize and improve their training program.

ThingLink provided a solution by creating a centralized, interactive learning environment that combined videos, text, and links to additional resources. This allowed trainees to learn independently and rehearse work steps, while job counselors could focus on supporting individuals. The result was a significant increase in training quality and harmonization of work methods. The solution directly benefited at least 40-50 employees annually and was also extended to local vocational school students.
