How Students Created a Virtual Exhibition on History’s Forgotten Women

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) wanted its students to address the historical injustice of women being silenced and omitted from history books. The challenge was to collaboratively create an accessible exhibition to share these untold stories globally without a physical exhibition space. The university partnered with vendor ThingLink to use its interactive media platform for this purpose.

The solution involved students using ThingLink to create a digital exhibition with interactive images and information about forgotten women. The results were highly successful, raising student confidence and motivation while creating a platform to inspire others. ThingLink enabled the students to become co-creators of knowledge, and the project is ripe for expansion to tell a wider array of stories.
