DIGIDEMO’s modules help to teach transferrable skills to Finnish high school students

The customer DIGIDEMO, a project by Finnish education professionals, faced the challenge of creating inspiring teaching materials to help high school instructors teach the broad "transversal competences" required by the new national curriculum. To address the difficulty of making these abstract themes engaging and assessable, they partnered with the vendor ThingLink to build a virtual learning environment.

Using ThingLink's platform, the DIGIDEMO team created immersive, gamified modules that place students in roles like investigative journalists and Members of Parliament to learn through authentic scenarios. The solution was successfully built with ThingLink, resulting in a free, widely available resource that received highly positive feedback for its pedagogy, usability, and visuals from testers and is now used in schools across Finland.
