Yarra Valley Water, Melbourne’s largest retail water business, was managing an ageing and highly complex print fleet of 83 devices from seven vendors, with high break-fix costs, heavy consumables management, and significant environmental impact. Therefore Corporation was selected after tender to help the utility simplify its print environment and support its sustainability goals using Canon MFDs, uniFLOW, eMaintenance, and Therefore Capture.

Therefore Corporation implemented a consolidated print strategy centered on 16 multifunction devices, uniFLOW follow-me printing, and eMaintenance for automated device monitoring and consumables management, along with Therefore Capture for document digitisation into SharePoint. The result was a 20% reduction in waste, a 10% reduction in total cost of ownership, a 50% increase in duplex printing, and an estimated first-year saving of over $100,000, while cutting the fleet from 83 devices to 16.
