Prüfungs- und Forschungsinstitut (PFI) is a German research and testing institute for consumer goods, including shoes, toys, and other products. PFI needed a faster way to access invoices, test documentation, and project information that had been stored in physical archives across different parts of the office, slowing down staff and taking up valuable space. The institute worked with Therefore Corporation and its Canon partner Kemmler Kopier Systeme to introduce Therefore™ document management.

Therefore Corporation implemented Therefore™ so PFI could scan, store, and retrieve invoices, test reports, and other documents centrally, with barcodes linking orders, reports, test results, and invoices. The system also supported workflow improvements for incoming orders and future invoice processing. PFI reported that invoice handling became 40–60% faster, information was much easier to find, and the team saved significant time while freeing archive space for more productive uses.
