Health Care Network Valais, the hospital network serving the Canton of Valais in Switzerland, needed a better way to manage paper-based processes, especially incoming invoices and patient records. The result was faster access to information, less wasted time, improved legal compliance through digital signatures, and more space in hospitals; by 2008, around 8,000 supplier invoices and 260,000 patient files had been digitized and archived.
