A Thentia Case Study
The Oklahoma Board of Chiropractic Examiners (OBCE) needed a faster, more cost-effective way to manage licensing and complaints as it worked toward a 100% paperless operation. With only two full-time administrative staff serving about 1,000 licensees, the agency was burdened by manual paper-based renewals, applications, and complaint forms that drove up mailing costs, slowed processing, and sometimes caused information to be lost in the mail. Thentia and its Thentia Cloud platform offered a way to modernize these outdated workflows.
Thentia implemented Thentia Cloud to move OBCE’s applications, renewals, and complaints fully online, with customizable tools built for regulatory workflows. The results were immediate: OBCE became 85% paperless, processed 100% of applications and renewals digitally, cut late renewals from up to 20% to 5%, reduced check payments from 20–30% to 2%, saved about $1,000 a year in postage, and freed up roughly 35 staff hours per week. Thentia also helped improve the public complaint process and gave staff and licensees a simpler, more reliable experience.
