Mohegan Sun Implements Employee Engagement App for Deskless Employees

Mohegan Sun, which operates hotels, casinos and resorts with a largely deskless workforce, needed a reliable way to reach 11,000 employees—many without desktop access or company email—across multiple properties. TheEMPLOYEEapp was selected to provide a mobile- and web-accessible employee engagement solution (branded Mohegan Today) that could deliver targeted communications, push alerts for emergencies, and require minimal IT involvement.

theEMPLOYEEapp implemented the Mohegan Today app to consolidate newsletters, daily property updates, payroll and benefits links, scheduling, surveys and other workplace tools into a single branded channel that replaced the intranet. Adoption climbed to about 60% at the Connecticut property and 40–50% across all properties, administrators posting content grew from seven to more than 20, and theEMPLOYEEapp became Mohegan Sun’s primary, measurable platform for internal communications.
