Veterans United, the nation’s largest VA lender with over 3,900 employees across multiple offices, needed a way to extend workplace culture and deliver targeted communications beyond email to reach employees and their families. To meet that challenge, Veterans United selected theEMPLOYEEapp and launched its Outpost mobile app in March 2020.
theEMPLOYEEapp helped deploy Outpost with simple QR-code onboarding and features shaped by employee focus groups—RSVPs, virtual events, employee contributions and streaming VU Radio (255 listeners within three hours). Within 90 days the solution achieved 63% adoption, about 1,000 weekly views (roughly one-third of employees), and coincided with measurable survey improvements: communication positivity rose to 92% (from 87%), “keeps me informed” to 93% (from 83%), and “look forward to coming to work” to 96% (from 92%).
