Employee Communication App Helps Northwell Health Reach Workforce

Northwell Health, the largest private employer in New York with more than 61,000 staff, faced a communication challenge: its frontline workforce had limited access to desktop email and a complex SharePoint intranet, and print notices were unmeasurable and unsustainable. To reach a mobile-dependent, multi-generational workforce and provide branded, quick access to HR and workplace tools, Northwell selected theEMPLOYEEapp to deliver a dedicated employee mobile solution called myNorthwell.

theEMPLOYEEapp deployed the myNorthwell app as a turnkey, customizable mobile hub that links to existing portals and enables just-in-time push communications and analytics. In the first three months the app drove 11,000 users, more than 600,000 page views, an average session of three minutes, over 93,000 visits to mySelfService and 25,000+ visits to the new Wellness program—demonstrating improved engagement, measurable reach and faster access to workplace resources.
