A thedatabank Case Study
The Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC) is a grassroots organization that supports immigrants and refugees across Tennessee through organizing, leadership development, education, and direct services. With staff in three offices, they struggled to maintain a unified database and subscriber list—data entry had no standards, leading to duplicates and lost information—and needed better donor tracking to fund their advocacy against anti-immigrant legislation.
TIRRC implemented a centralized Databank system and worked with the provider to build more detailed, interactive donation and ticketing forms, supported by a responsive tech team. Centralizing data cut duplicates and silos and streamlined fundraising; for example, by adding online/offline ticketing for the InterNASHional Food Crawl they sold 500 of 750 tickets and raised $25,000—more than three times the previous year’s total.
