TV 2 Denmark A/S, a major Danish broadcaster, faced the challenge of keeping its 24-hour weather forecasts compelling and up-to-the-minute to compete with mobile apps and social media. For its new 4K studio, it needed a user-friendly system to refresh graphics constantly. The broadcaster re-evaluated its existing platform from The Weather Company, specifically the Max Weather solution.

The Weather Company upgraded TV 2's Max Weather platform and implemented the new Max Reality module, the industry’s first 4K deployment of this augmented reality solution. This allowed meteorologists to create dynamic 3D AR graphics that brought weather phenomena to life. The results included increased audience retention, a more engaging on-air and social media presence via Max Social, and the ability to deliver more frequent and accurate forecasts with improved system performance.
