Zagrebačka Bank Secures Client Access to Online Services with Thales Authentication
Zagrebačka Banka, Croatia’s leading bank serving roughly 1.2 million clients, needed to secure corporate access to its e-banking portal, prevent identity theft and fraud, enable digital signatures for online transactions, and simplify deployment of advanced security tools. To meet these needs the bank selected Thales and its SafeNet eToken USB Authenticators as a certificate-based two-factor authentication solution.
Thales deployed thousands of SafeNet eToken USB Authenticators, combining PKI-based strong authentication, digital signing and onboard encrypted storage so customers can securely transact and carry encrypted personal documents. The tokens also served as a delivery platform for bank applications—eliminating the need to distribute thousands of CDs—while reducing fraud risk and increasing customer confidence in Zagrebačka Banka’s online services.
