Thales payShield provides core protection for kashing’s payment solutions

Kashing Ltd., a London-based provider of omnichannel payment services for small merchants, faced the need to build a scalable, high-availability security architecture that would protect sensitive data end-to-end, encrypt data in motion and at rest, remain transparent to nontechnical users, and achieve PCI DSS compliance. To address these requirements, Kashing selected the Thales payShield 9000 HSM.

Thales implemented the payShield 9000 to handle transaction encryption, remote key injection and centralized key management, extending protection to archived records and enabling remote administration and development. The Thales solution delivered end-to-end encryption and higher throughput with minimal user impact, helped Kashing attain PCI DSS compliance, and provided the scalability and availability needed to support rapid growth.
