Planet of Finance streamlines encryption to build highly secure platform for investors

Planet of Finance, a Monaco-based investor platform with members in 81 countries collectively managing USD 15 trillion in assets, needed a scalable, cloud-native way to secure sensitive personal and financial data while preserving user ownership and meeting global regulations such as GDPR. To meet these requirements they selected Thales and its Vormetric portfolio — notably Vormetric Application Encryption and Vormetric Data Security Manager — after evaluating options that would deliver strong encryption without adding operational complexity.

Thales implemented Vormetric Application Encryption for immediate in-database encryption and Vormetric Data Security Manager for centralized key and policy management (with KMIP and third‑party key support), plus developer APIs for easy integration. The result was high-performance, FIPS 140-2 Level-1 certified encryption that preserves data-owner control, simplifies compliance, and enables rapid scaling and new product launches — delivering exceptional speed, flexibility and reduced operational overhead while making exposed data unintelligible to unauthorized users.
