NH Bank Secures Financial Assets with Thales Authentication Solutions

NH Bank, South Korea’s largest online banking community, needed to secure customer access to extensive digital services and meet KISA regulations requiring PKCS#11-based authentication. To prevent identity theft and fraud while offering a convenient, portable solution for customers, NH Bank selected Thales strong authentication solutions, including certificate-based PKI USB Authentication Tokens and the SafeNet Authentication Client (SAC).

Thales deployed more than 50,000 SafeNet eToken USB Authenticators and eToken PKI middleware, with SAC for centralized management, enabling smooth integration and uninterrupted online service. As a result, NH Bank achieved KISA compliance, strengthened fraud prevention and customer identity protection, increased customer confidence in online banking, and reduced risks and costs associated with data breaches — all delivered by Thales.
