JAN© Accountants and Business Consultants, a 160‑employee firm, needed a user‑friendly, single authentication solution after moving to Office 365 and adopting a VPN. Although JAN© had used Thales’ SafeNet solution for over a decade, a mix of SafeNet and Microsoft tokens, frequent phone changes and multiple login methods created complexity and a demand for a single, manageable authentication approach.

Thales migrated JAN© to SafeNet Trusted Access (with implementation partner Comsenso), consolidating two‑factor authentication and single sign‑on across Citrix, Office 365 and the Palo Alto VPN and moving data to a European data centre to remain under GDPR. The Thales solution simplified and centralized authentication, primarily using software tokens (with hardware optional), reduced costs versus the previous multi‑token landscape, and delivered secure, streamlined logins for employees with plans for self‑service token management.
