Identify3D expands its security offering with Thales cloud-based HSM as a service solution

Identify3D, a San Francisco–based provider of intellectual property protection, manufacturing repeatability, and traceability for digital manufacturing, needed a cloud-based Hardware Security Module (HSM) and certificate authority to protect customers’ keys and enforce production rules across complex supply chains. Thales delivered DPoD Cloud HSM services to provision certified key vaults, protect CA private keys, enable digital signing and integrate with customer environments; during a 30-day trial Thales enhanced DPoD (raising keys per partition from 10 to 100 and adding RSA‑4096 support) to meet Identify3D’s needs. The result for Identify3D was easier, faster integration, lower total cost of ownership with no upfront investment and OpEx billing, elastic scaling, automatic backups and a 99.95% SLA—making Thales DPoD a more cost‑effective, responsive HSM and key-management platform than competing options.
