Case Study: Arab Bank achieves strong, cost-effective access security with Thales SafeNet OTP Token

A Thales Case Study

Preview of the Arab Bank Case Study

Arab Bank Maximizes Security without Breaking the Bank

Arab Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. needed to secure access to sensitive financial data, support advanced certificate‑based applications, and centrally manage authentication at a reasonable cost. To meet these requirements the bank selected Thales and deployed Thales’s SafeNet OTP Token authenticator together with the SafeNet Strong Authentication management platform.

Thales delivered a single‑token solution that combines PKI certificate functions and one‑time‑password (OTP) authentication: USB SafeNet OTP Tokens provide employees with multi‑factor access (VPN, network logon, digital signing, physical entry) and give strategic customers easy OTP remote access, all managed centrally by Thales’s platform. The deployment improved security posture, simplified administration, reduced helpdesk and fraud‑related costs, and enabled centralized token lifecycle management—delivering stronger, more efficient protection across Arab Bank’s operations.
