Antwerp Port Authority Selects Luna Network HSMs for eInvoicing

Antwerp Port Authority, which operates Europe’s second-largest and the world’s fourth-largest port, needed to comply with the European Directive on Invoicing requiring guaranteed authenticity and integrity of electronic invoices. To meet this requirement and integrate with existing partners, Antwerp Port Authority selected Thales Luna Network HSMs for secure key and signature management.

Thales deployed Luna Network HSMs to store private signing keys and integrate with Adobe LiveCycle/Experience Manager Forms and GlobalSign digital certificates, enabling invoices to be converted to PDF/A, time-stamped and digitally signed with keys protected in the HSM. The Thales solution allowed Antwerp Port Authority to meet EU VAT e-invoicing rules, quickly bring compliant digital invoicing online, guarantee invoice authenticity and integrity, streamline processing and reduce billing and archiving costs.
