Teleperformance Gains Competitive Edge and Comprehensive Regulatory Compliance with Vormetric Data Security

Teleperformance, the Paris-headquartered outsourced CRM and contact center company, needed a way to protect sensitive data across a large mix of applications and databases. Its teams were handling call recording systems, CRM packages, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server repositories, and had to meet requirements tied to HIPAA-HITECH, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and European and country-specific data protection rules.

Teleperformance chose Thales e-Security’s Vormetric Encryption and Key Management solutions, purchased through SHI International Corporation, to centralize encryption without affecting application performance or usability. The company said the deployment was simple and transparent to applications, with no noticeable impact on performance, reduced encryption and key management complexity, and strong separation of duties for auditors; it also found that encrypting one call recording package with Vormetric cost less than the vendor’s application-specific add-on for that single system.
