PPF Banka secures two-factor access for employees and clients with Thales e-Security

PPF Banka, part of the PPF Group in the Czech Republic, needed to strengthen and expand secure access to its internet banking and corporate systems. Their existing smartcard-based authentication was secure but complex, limiting user expansion and mobile device support. To establish strong, user-friendly two-factor authentication, the bank partnered with vendor Thales e-Security and implemented the Thales SAS PCE solution.

The solution from Thales provided a single platform supporting hardware OTP tokens and SafeNet MobilePASS software tokens for both employees and clients. This gave PPF Banka enhanced flexibility to support more users and devices, improved administrative efficiency through centralized policy management, and maintained strong security with features like PIN protection. Thales enabled the bank to efficiently manage deployment and meet its requirements for secure, flexible authentication.
