A Thales e-Security Case Study
MTBank, one of the largest banks in Belarus, wanted to launch the country's first cloud-based mobile wallet service to strengthen its market leadership. The challenge was to quickly implement a secure Host Card Emulation (HCE) solution, which required hardware security modules to meet payment network standards, all within a tight 90-day schedule.
Thales, through its partner D8 Corporation, provided its payShield 9000 HSMs to secure the tokenization and key management for the HCE payment platform. This solution allowed MTBank to deploy seamlessly without changing its existing infrastructure. As a result, MTBank became the first bank in Belarus to implement HCE technology, securing over 300,000 cards, earning a "Bank of the Year" award, and solidifying its reputation as an innovator.
