Law Firm Achieves PCI Compliance with Vormetric Data Security

Rausch, Sturm, Israel, Enerson & Hornik, LLC (RSIEH), a Wisconsin-based debt collection law firm with offices in 13 states, needed to protect stored cardholder data to meet PCI DSS requirements. Its operations handled credit card information in documents and images used by the Commercial Legal Software Collection-Master application, along with data in SQL Server systems.

RSIEH implemented Thales e-Security’s Vormetric Data Security to encrypt both structured and unstructured data without changing applications or causing noticeable performance impact. The company said it achieved PCI DSS certification with the help of Vormetric Data Security and later used that certification as a milestone toward ISO 27001 certification.
