Follett Higher Education Group uses Thales e-Security to protect credit card data and comply with PCI DSS. As Follett grew to more than 700 campus bookstores and more than 20 million textbooks sold annually, its manual encryption key management process became too inefficient and labour-intensive.

Thales e-Security implemented hardware security modules from its nCipher product line to automate key storage, generation, and rotation. The new setup made key changes much faster, simplified PCI DSS audit reviews, and helped Follett make compliance more cost-effective while reducing the risk of data breaches.
