Fitness Industry Giant Nautilus Elevates Its Security Posture With Vormetric Encryption from Thales e-Security

Nautilus, the fitness company behind Bowflex, Schwinn, and other brands, needed a commercial-grade encryption solution to meet PCI DSS and PII requirements while protecting credit card data, customer information, and archived intellectual property. It also wanted to avoid the administrative burden some encryption tools created and needed support for diverse file types, including CAD files, in motion and at rest.

Nautilus selected Thales e-Security’s Vormetric Data Security Manager. The deployment took two days instead of the five days originally planned, and daily administration and key management were described as straightforward. Thales e-Security helped Nautilus unify its encryption strategy across domestic and overseas facilities, protect data in all states, and achieve full compliance with applicable PCI and PII rulings.
