Antwerp Port Authority secures 16,000 annual ship invoices with Thales e-Security

The Antwerp Port Authority, which manages one of the world's largest ports, needed to establish a secure electronic invoicing solution to comply with a European VAT directive. The challenge was to guarantee the authenticity and integrity of thousands of electronic invoices while integrating with their existing technology partners. Thales implemented a solution where the Luna HSM securely stored the digital signatures and cryptographic keys used to sign invoice PDFs. This integrated with the port's existing Adobe and GlobalSign systems to create a compliant, automated process.
