University of Lincoln brings rapid MT to Mobile Arts for Peace

The University of Lincoln's Mobile Arts for Peace (MAP) project faced a challenge in facilitating communication for its global peacebuilding work. Working across multiple underserved languages, including Kinyarwanda, Nepali, and Kyrgyz, MAP needed a solution to streamline translations for workshops, focus groups, and administrative tasks beyond simple document translation. They required a flexible system to support multi-language interactions and chose to implement machine translation services from TextUnited.

TextUnited provided rapid file-based machine translation and utilized its CMS Website Crawler to quickly translate web content. This solution enabled the MAP team to efficiently prepare materials and access information, significantly improving their project flow. The integration allowed for faster, less obtrusive translations, helping the University of Lincoln’s project better achieve its goal of bridging communication gaps and empowering local, underrepresented voices in international peacebuilding discussions.
