Preventx Limited is an integrated diagnostics company that makes sexual health screening easier and more accessible, running freetest.me for the NHS and handling over 100,000 screening kit requests a year across 150+ local authorities. To inform, remind and update predominantly 16–24-year-old patients about kit returns and test results, Preventx adopted Textlocal’s Bulk SMS software (Textlocal service) because of its robust, simple API integration.

Using Textlocal’s API, Preventx implemented an automated postcode-lookup and SMS workflow (text TEST + AGE + POSTCODE to 60777) that checks eligibility, requests details, sends timely reminders and delivers immediate test-result notifications. The Textlocal-powered automation reduced manual calls and staff time, increased patient engagement and kit returns, and supplied rapid location-based information—helping Preventx complete more tests and support the NHS to reduce costs and meet targets.
