Pizza Planet speeds up order process using automatic SMS

Pizza Planet, an independent pizza takeaway serving a 39-square-mile area, needed a reliable, real-time way to notify customers when orders were ready after COVID-19 closures. Previously staff had to call each customer; to implement a fast solution they turned to Textlocal, using its Messenger platform and the free API linked to the Notify application.

Textlocal set up an automated SMS workflow: kitchen staff update order stages in the Notify app (make/pack), which triggers SMS messages containing a link to an order-tracking page. The change removed the need for manual calls, reduced parked cars waiting outside, delivered fresher pizzas by cutting wait times, and freed team members to focus on other tasks — a process Pizza Planet continues to use.
