Perth & Kinross Council, a local government body in Scotland, needed to simplify the customer journey and reduce time and money spent on admin across multiple departments. They were finding it difficult to reach colleagues and residents by phone and email, so the council implemented Textlocal’s SMS platform—using group SMS, short codes and the Textlocal survey tool—to provide a fast, integrated way to update multiple people at once.

Textlocal’s solution was rolled out across Care at Home, Housing, HR and wider campaigns: replacing many calls with group texts (with delivery notifications), using tracked SMS for rent arrears, short codes for recruitment and local initiatives, and text-in surveys for exit feedback. As a result, Perth & Kinross Council significantly cut administrative and staff costs, improved communication and service delivery, and saw increased event attendance and donations that have more than covered the cost of SMS, while gaining measurable delivery tracking and richer survey data.
