FitSpace, a nationwide chain of gyms with around 40,000 members, needed a mobile-first way to convert prospects, re‑engage ex‑members and boost engagement with existing members. They partnered with Textlocal, using Textlocal’s Bulk SMS software and Surveys and Forms tool (with plans to integrate the Textlocal API Gateway into their CRM) to capture on-the-spot feedback and deliver targeted offers.

Textlocal ran incentivised SMS surveys and promotional texts: a member survey sent to 26,000 generated 1,500 responses (a 6% response rate) — outperforming previous email efforts — and a single promotional SMS over one weekend drove 55 new memberships, covering the cost of the send and with new joins appearing within five minutes. By using Textlocal’s Survey Tool, Messenger CSV exports and targeted SMS campaigns, FitSpace gained club-level insights and rapid, measurable ROI.
