Enabel reaches 4,000+ teachers in Uganda with TextIt

Enabel, the Belgian Agency for International Cooperation, faced a challenge in Uganda where teachers struggled to put professional development theory into practice due to heavy workloads. Their previous system of unmanaged, high-volume WhatsApp groups was filled with spam and ineffective. They turned to TextIt to implement a structured WhatsApp chatbot to deliver quality-controlled micro-learning content.

Using TextIt, Enabel built deterministic flows to provide teachers with private, self-paced learning on sensitive topics like gender and inclusion. The solution reached over 4000 teachers, improving access to information and reducing reliance on costly, one-off trainings. TextIt enabled Enabel to support continuous learning and drive meaningful social and behavior change communication at scale in a simple and cost-effective way.
