West Warwick schools use Fluency Tutor to support struggling readers

West Warwick Public Schools used Texthelp’s Fluency Tutor to support struggling readers across its district of three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. The district recognized that many students beyond its 24% special education population needed additional reading support, but some were too shy or embarrassed to ask for help.

With Texthelp’s Fluency Tutor, including text-to-speech and picture dictionary tools, teachers were able to give students more autonomy and extra learning support while monitoring progress more closely. This helped West Warwick quickly identify struggling readers and put interventions in place sooner, supporting reading growth and preventing students from falling further behind.
