Nutricia Homeward, a dedicated enteral nursing service supporting 30,000 tube-fed patients at home, needed to make its patient website more accessible for users with poor eyesight, hearing difficulties, learning disabilities, or English as a second language. The company also needed a faster way to provide patient literature in multiple languages, especially when urgent information was required at discharge. Texthelp’s Browsealoud was chosen to help address these accessibility and translation challenges.

Texthelp implemented Browsealoud on the Nutricia Homeward website, adding text-to-speech, text highlighting, and instant translation features. The solution enabled patients, families, and carers to access information immediately instead of waiting several days for translated materials, while also helping nurses deliver more tailored support. Texthelp’s Browsealoud has improved service delivery for both patients and staff, supporting 150 nurses and helping manage around 1,500 home deliveries each day.
