University uses voice messaging to make immediate contact with EMTs tasked with providing 24-hour medical services

University of Massachusetts Lowell EMS is a student‑run, 24‑hour emergency medical service with about 25 EMTs that responds to everything from minor injuries to life‑threatening overdoses and cardiac events. Because most responders are students dispersed across campus and the community, the team needed a fast, reliable way to contact every EMT simultaneously during time‑critical incidents—manually dialing each number wasn’t practical.

To solve this, UMass Lowell EMS adopted Call‑Em‑All’s voice‑messaging platform so a single call can alert all responders in minutes. The service enabled the team to quickly staff shelters during a regional ice storm, monitor who answered or hit voicemail during incidents, and do so on a pay‑as‑you‑go plan—giving faster, more accountable emergency response without a large budget.
