Community outreach program uses Call-Em-All voice messaging to relay health tips to older adults

West Virginia University Extension Service ran the “Taking Charge of Your Health & Safety” program to help rural older adults adopt healthier habits, but needed a way to reinforce those behaviors between workshops. Staff knew seniors responded well to personal phone contact and wanted a reliable, scalable way to deliver reminders and tips.

WVU-ES used Call-Em-All to send weekly, one-minute recorded health messages to more than 600 opt-in seniors, scheduling calls months in advance. Results were strong: over 95% of participants listened at least once and about 88.5% tried the tips, with many seniors reporting they now schedule their day to hear—and share—the messages.
