The Institute of Directors works with TestReach to offer candidates a flexible and convenient way to sit exams

The Institute of Directors, a membership body supporting practising and aspiring company directors, wanted to give candidates greater flexibility and reduce the cost, complexity and security risks of paper-based exams. They needed an end-to-end solution for exam authoring, secure international test-centre delivery and remote invigilation, which led them to choose TestReach’s cloud-based assessment platform with built-in authoring and remote proctoring.

TestReach enabled the IoD to run computer-based exams with online authoring and live remote invigilation; after a successful pilot the Institute phased out test centres in 2017 and now delivers all exams via remote invigilation worldwide. The move increased exam frequency (exams broken into four monthly components), delivered pass-rate reporting within minutes, supported SQA accreditation for key qualifications, and helped the IoD win industry awards for its implementation.
