How FunXtion Leverages Testkube for Automated Load Testing in K8s

FunXtion, a B2B SaaS platform for the fitness industry, faced a challenge while transitioning to a Kubernetes-based microservices architecture. Their testing processes were fragmented, relying on CI pipelines, arbitrary scripts, and manual execution, which lacked a unified reporting system. To natively integrate and automate testing within their clusters, they turned to Testkube.

By implementing Testkube, FunXtion automated its API load testing using the k6 executor, enabling tests to run directly within Kubernetes. This provided a centralized platform for reporting and notifications, decoupled testing from CI pipelines, and allowed for a declarative, GitOps approach. The solution resulted in a fully automated testing process, increased confidence in results due to in-cluster execution, and higher team productivity and product quality.
